After resisting blogging–because I hate the word “blog” as short for weblog, because there are so many others so do we need another?, because it seems self indulgent, because I couldn’t decide what to blog about–I have decided to get over it.  I’m always writing and sayin’ anyway.  So at the suggestion of people who actually listen to what I have to say, I’ll do it here too. Like all my fellow bloggers.

This blog is for my words that aren’t song lyrics (those can be seen and heard at the aforementioned sites:  http://www.bouva.com and my myspace and facebook music pages) or full on essays or what will become my book.  It is about nothing in particular. Like Seinfeld.  But my particular everything–music, writing, and observations.  Observations, which I love to make and make obsessively–about art, design, pop culture, cultural movements, justice, anthropology, comedy, fashion, film, dance, travel, people.  And words and music too of course.
