Observed into Words
Just sayin'–My writings that aren't songs
Mundane fascination
Categories: This Week Observed

Mars placed an ad on Craigslist for a short term subletter as she figures out her winter plans for Montaco.  I found myself asking, “so who responded?” “I got so many responses,” she said.  I was surprised.  “So why would someone in New York want to move somewhere just for three weeks?” This is a classic example of my curiosity.  Mundane curiosity.  We were amused by how easily amused I am by such information.  Mars went on to describe some of the responses such as a woman whose apartment is being renovated and she didn’t want to pay for a hotel, to a man whose relatives were visiting from Seattle for 2 weeks. All pretty normal.  Practical.  But still feeds my fascination. Mundane fascination.
