I am writing a song with the lyric “pinball” in it and went Googlin’ for some inspiration.

This Sesame Street nostalgia came up.  1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12!  If you know it but don’t remember, or didn’t realize, it’s accompanying animation kicks off with a pull of the knob, triggering a pinball. A classic cartoon animation that is part of our counting fabric.  We’ll all sung it over the years but I haven’t watched its counterpart since I was little.  Graphics, production, and the  Pointer Sisters.  I also noticed this time around that that there is one sequence for every number, 1 through 12.  1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12!
And yes, this is the second time I’ve posted a video from Sesame Street (the first praising the llama segment).  Impressionable child…

Around the same time, I was equally obsessed with The Who.  Tommy, which I have also posted about previously (praising Tina Turner as Acid Queen), left indelible images on this…impressionable child…

Elton as a caricature of himself.  High shoes.  Big glasses.  Big everything. And Who wizardry.
