Flipping through the radio the other day, I heard Silly by Deniece Williams.  I own this perhaps on cassette or even vinyl but who knows where that is.  I was so excited to be reminded of this amazing gem.

Her biggest claim to fame was Let’s Hear it for the Boy for the Footloose soundtrack. But that song detracts from her major accomplishments like this or Black Butterfly.  Also while digging up the video, I was reminded of other brilliant work from the time: You Get the Best From Me-Say, Say, Say (Alicia Myers), As We Lay (Shirley Murdoch), and All in All (Joyce Sims).

Got to groove to these like nothing else.
